Chair – Ruben Rosen
Term: June 9, 2008 - June 8, 2011
|
Ruben Rosen is a chartered accountant and management consultant whose career as a senior partner with Deloitte & Touche spanned from 1957 to his retirement in 2003. Rosen has held numerous financial and consulting positions related to government and health care – including special consultant to the Minister of Health and the Minister of Social Services for the Province of New Brunswick, consultant to the Government of Nova Scotia on the development of the Medicare System, and consultant to the Auditor General of Canada. His community involvement includes serving as a member of the Board of Directors of the Foundation of Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. Most recently, Rosen was treasurer of the Board of Trustees of the Collingwood General and Marine Hospital. |
Vice-Chair – Lynn Stevenson
Term: July 1, 2007 – June 30, 2010
|
Lynn Stevenson of Barrie had a long career with the Canadian Red Cross, Simcoe/Muskoka Branch, including positions managing the branch, community health services, homemaking services, and home support services. Prior to this, Stevenson worked as a program supervisor for Georgian College and as the coordinator of Senior and Community Services for the City of Barrie. Stevenson was a member of the board of Victoria Village, a project of Life Lease Units, Long Term Care Facility, City of Barrie and Commercial Spaces. She has served on the boards of a number of other community organizations, including the YM-YWCA, Older Adults Centres of Ontario, United Way - Simcoe County and Simcoe York District Health Council. |

Member – Lynda Coad
Term: May 17, 2008 - May 16, 2011
|
Lynda Coad of Bracebridge, recently retired, was co-chief nursing officer and director of the medical, continuing care, and long term care programs at the Timmins and District Hospital. Prior to this, she was the hospital's director of education. Coad began her career as an ICU/critical care nurse, and was manager of the critical care unit at St. Mary's Hospital in Timmins. She provided leadership in health care both at the community and regional levels, particularly in cancer care, dialysis services and care for seniors. Presently, Coad is a member and tutor with the Literacy Society of South Muskoka. |
Member – Erica Curtis
Term: April 2, 2008 – April 1, 2011

Erica Curtis is a retired registered nurse with many years of experience working in Health Care as a nurse administrator, teacher, Psychiatric counselor, and Women’s Health Consultant. Curtis began her career in Montreal teaching Nursing Students followed by a few years raising a young family and Volunteering with the YMCA, the Mental Health Association, and the Epilepsy Association. In1980 she returned to work at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie with the Psychiatric Services. In 1992 after starting a private practice she was asked to join the Board of the Royal Victoria Hospital. During the nine years as a member of this board she was Chair of the Quality Improvement Committee, Chair of the Management Committee, and Vice Chair of the Board. As a consultant she helped initiate a Women’s Health program at the Royal Victoria Hospital. More recently Curtis’ focus has been as a volunteer group leader for Hospice Simcoe as well as doing facilitation workshops for hospice volunteers and staff.

Member – Anne Gagné
Term: May 2, 2007 – May 1, 2010

Anne Gagné is a retired Superintendent of French-language schools from the Simcoe County Roman Catholic Separate School Board who also served as an Education Officer for the Ministry of Education in both the Barrie district and Toronto centres. Upon retirement, she continued to serve as an educational consultant in human resources for French-language school boards in Ontario and other provinces across Canada. She serves on the Boards of Directors at the local, provincial and national level in the area of radio communication networks that provide services and support to French minority populations across Canada. A former member of TVOntario, she presently sits on the board of the newly independent French television network, TFO. At the local level, Anne is greatly involved in her community as chair of the public library, the French cultural centre and the French radio station. Anne also served as first president of the local unit and provincial secretary for the Association of Parents of the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing |
Member – Mick Peters
Term: June 17, 2007 – June 16, 2010

Mick Peters, a resident of Craigleith, is a retired health care executive who has served in a variety of professional and voluntary capacities. Most recently Mick has been chair of the Grey Bruce Community Care Access Centre, chair of the Grey-Bruce Health Network and member of the Hanover and District Hospital Board. He has also volunteered as a board member of the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario, Central Toronto Youth Services, Durham Save a Heart and Grey Bruce Health Services. His career has spanned 25 years in health care including positions as executive director of a District Health Council and as a senior manager with the Province of Ontario. Mick holds a Masters Degree in Health Economics specializing in Health Planning and Financing. |
