Gail J Donner BscN, PhD, Chair, Expert Group on Home and Community Care, Professor Emerita, Lawrence S. Bloomberg Faculty of Nursing, University  of Toronto.

In 2012 Gail chaired the Long-Term Care Task Force on Resident Care and Safety that developed an action plan to prevent abuse and neglect in long-term care homes in Ontario.  Currently she is Chair of the Expert Group on Home and Community Care, appointed by the Minister of Health and Long-Term Care to provide advice to the Minister on how to achieve the Ministry’s vision of  patient-centered, integrated, accountable  home and community programs and services that provide value to both patients and taxpayers. More about Gail

   
Dr. Charles Gardner


Dr. Charles Gardner, MD, CCFP, MHSc, FRCPC, Medical Officer of Health, Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit

Dr. Gardner has been the Medical Officer of Health (MOH) for the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit since 2005, after having served as MOH with the Leeds, Grenville and Lanark District Health Unit for seven years. Prior to that, he worked in general medical practice for four years in communities in Newfoundland and New Brunswick, and a year in Zimbabwe. More about Charles

Lee is the former Vice President of Strategy, Knowledge Management & Delivery at the Canadian Partnership Against Cancer, a national organization responsible for improving cancer control in Canada, after initially joining their executive team to establish the newly created organization. Maria Macdonald

Maria McDonald works as an independent consultant in bioethics, privacy and health law.  Previously, she worked as the Bioethicist at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital from 2007 to 2013, and as the Privacy Officer from 2010 to 2013.  She has over 16 years of experience as a member of Research Ethics Boards in the Toronto area.
