Bernie Blais, Chief Executive Officer

Bernie began his career in health care as a paramedic and has served in a number of senior roles across six of Canada’s provinces and territories:
CEO, Northern Lights Health Region in Northern Alberta
Deputy Minister of Health and Social Services, Government of Nunavut
CEO, Chatham-Kent Health Alliance in Southwestern Ontario
CEO, Surrey Memorial Hospital, a 656 bed facility in British Columbia
Senior Assistant Deputy Minister Health Reform, Manitoba Health
CEO, Victoria General Hospital, Winnipeg
Bernie completed his Masters Degree in Public Administration with Distinction at the University of Manitoba. He is very passionate about leadership development and a strong advocate of lifelong learning. Bernie is fluently bilingual and has strong Aboriginal roots with four First Nations grandchildren living in Winnipeg. His two other grandchildren live in Huntsville.
Jill Tettmann, Senior Director - Health System Performance, Measurement and Integration
Jill joined the North Simcoe Muskoka LHIN Team in 2006 as the Senior Director Planning, Integration and Community Engagement. Jill has more than 18 years experience in major health system planning and community engagement. Her background in planning includes experience with the Simcoe York and Northern Shores District Health Councils and Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care where she was actively involved with the Hospital Annual Planning Submission (HAPS) process. Jill plays a key leadership role in helping us achieve the overall goal of improving the health of the citizens of North Simcoe Muskoka.
Tim Berry, Senior Director - Finance and Risk Management

Tim has spent the past six years in the health care sector most recently as Director of Finance and Administration for the Ontario Association of Community Care Access Centres and prior to that, Director of Finance and Administration for the Simcoe Community Care Access Centre. Prior to that, Tim held the positions of Vice President, Finance & Administration and CFO for Stirling Douglas Group Inc., a software developer, and Controller for Classic Communications Limited, a cable TV operator in the Southern York region.
Tim is an active community volunteer, filling the role of member and Treasurer for the Boards of the Children’s Treatment Network of York Simcoe and United Way of Greater Simcoe County. Tim participated in a Compensation Review Committee which reviewed compensation for City of Barrie mayor and council and is past president of the Barrie Community Tennis Club. In his free time, Tim is a part-time instructor with Laurentian University at Georgian College in Barrie.
